What is your current role at Hand in Hand?

I am currently one of the 3 staff for Hand in Hand’s Adventurous Summer Club. Where I get the pleasure to work with a great group of young adult participants.

Can you tell us a little about your background and journey to your current role?

One day, my friend told me about Hand in Hand and what they do. He then asked me if I would want to join the staff. I thought it would be such a great and fun opportunity  so I said of course!

What do you enjoy most about your work here?

What I enjoy most about working at Hand in Hand is to bring joy to the participants. I love to go on field trips where they get to have a ton of fun!

Could you share a memorable experience or accomplishment from your time with us?

My most memorable and favorite Hand in Hand memory is definitely at Hand in Hand summer camp. It’s such a fun time to take the participants to the pool and enjoy the nice weather outside with all types of games and water activities.

How do you approach challenges in your role?

The best way for me to deal with challenges in my role is to really get to know the participants. When you know the things that they like and dislike, it makes it a lot easier and more fun to help out.

Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests?

Outside of work, I love to spend time with my friends and family doing basically anything. Some of my favorite things are to go golfing, hiking, and having bonfires!

Who or what motivates you to do your best every day?

Something that motivates me to do my best everyday is to bring joy and smiles to the people around me.
